A Redondo Beach Girl that landed in the South Valley, she was “Born to be Wild!” April began studying classical piano at age five. Always comfortable in front of a crowd, she was performing at the age of six. While living in Los Angeles, April was a favorite on the local modeling circuit. Her extensive training in classical voice helped to develop her dynamic vocal ability; she has been the lead vocalist for bands in the Hollywood - Santa Monica area & here in the San Joaquin Valley. She has also studied Jazz, Modern Dance, Russian Ballet & Martial Arts. April has appeared in television commercials, radio ads, hosted events and parades & done promotions for Budweiser, Coors, Sensations, Carroll's Tire, Cain Trucking, Crawdaddy’s, 99.7 Classic Rock and other local companies.
During her 14 years when she was an On Air Personality on 99.7 Classic Rock hosting concerts and meeting the listeners were some of the best parts of the job. Taking fans backstage to meet their favorite artists and watching how happy they were was so fun.
April has volunteered in the past as the Woman’s Coordinator at the Visalia Sportsman Range and loves to get woman into shooting sports and safety. She is a certified firearm instructor and chief range safety officer and has competed in local competitions.
She graduated from COS with lifetime Honors and holds a BA in Management and a Teaching Credential in Special Ed from FPU.
Giving back to the community is important to April, she partners with the TCSO - Tulare County Sheriff's Office as a VIP - Volunteer in Patrol and SAR - Search & Rescue Team Member.
She has participated to benefit the Visalia Rescue Mission as a Celebrity Chef in the Food Fight for Families, Blood Drives, Charity Motorcycle Runs, Downtown Visalia Waiter’s Race, Visalia Elks Lodge, Bowling for Big Brothers & Sisters, Foodlink Food Drive and Stuff the Bus with School Supplies. She was the top single fundraiser for Over The Edge Visalia and rappelled over the side of the Marriot Hotel for The Source. April was also a Partner in Hope for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital and has participated in the St Jude Rocks Radiothon.
She’s a dog mom to her 2 Dobermans, a dog grandma to 1 Pitbull and loves all animals, especially Bats, Raccoons, Skunks and Possums which she is still figuring out how to get some as pets and convince her husband Jeff they are exotic dog breeds.
April loves to ride her Harley, camp with a bonfire under the moon and stars, visit Salem, Ma, play music, and take trips to the mountains or the beach with her husband, family and friends.
